Reconstruction and presentation of early-medieval material culture from Central Europe

Visegrad Fund
The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia,
Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from
International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance
ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

Our project is submitted to Visegrad Fund and we hope that despite the actual health situation in the world we can achieve our aims until the end of next year.

Description: Our main goals are reconstruction and presentation of early-medieval material culture from Central Europe on the basis of selected archeological assemblages (for example Komárno and Zemplín).

08/07/2020 Organization meeting, Hodruša-Hámre, Slovakia

On 8th July we had an organization meeting in the nice town of Hodruša Hámre, Slovakia.
After discussing the timeline and things to do the mayor of Hodruša-Hámre Mr. Jozef Uram
showed us the building, where the planned workshop should be.

05/08/2020 Research in Nitra, Slovakia

Thanks to the Archaeological Institute of SAS in Nitra and Ponitrianske múzeum v Nitre,
namely directors Mrs. Patrícia Žáčiková (PM) and Mr. Matej Ruttkay (Aú SAV), and of course
other coworkers of the museum, our partners from Foedus Orientalis Cultural Association
could examine the galvanoplastical replica of cup from Zemplín. (Photos from János Mestellér)
